| Team Black Star attended the 2009 Barrel Futurities of America in Oklahoma City once again. Ellen Guidry and CKC Sara placed and took home checks in both the open rounds. This mare is currently for sale at Josey Ranch. |

December 2009 Champion of Champions Futurity |
| Black Star ladies hauled up to Ardmore, OK in early December with 4 open horses. Kris and her mare, "Della" placed on both days, bringing home 2 checks! This mare is going to be on the road with Team Black Star for the 2010 season. Nica on "Donatella" won the 3D in the first go around! Ellen and "Chanel" won a check on their second run closing out a successful weekend for Black Star Ranch!! |

| Mid November, Black Star ran at the WBR finals in Waco, TX. You entered this 5-day race one time and hoped to sit in a money hole in this 6D format. Kris on her sorrel mare, "Cowgirl", and her bay mare, "Missile", took home money spots that week!! |
